Ten Sports

Taj Televisions primary focus is its sports channel - Ten Sports, the world's No 1 sports channel for South Asians.

The channel launched on April 1st 2002, and is now the world's premier sports channel for South Asians, reaching an estimated 48 million homes in the Sub-continent, Middle East, Europe and Asia.

Ten Sports transmits three separate beams (India/Sri Lanka, Pakistan/Bangladesh, and the Middle East/Europe/Far East). Each beam is customized in terms of programming, scheduling, graphics, music, on-air promotions and marketing, thus providing maximum enjoyment for our viewers and a highly targeted audience for advertisers.

Ten Sports is the most watched sports channel by far in the entire sub-continent. The Indian Readership Survey (IRS) figures confirm that Ten Sports was the most watched sports channel in India in 2004. In fact, during non-India cricket days, TAM figures have consistently shown Ten Sports commanding a phenomenal 70 per cent share of all sports viewing in the country.

Ten Sports has acquired exclusive rights in various regions for many exciting sporting properties, including all international cricket from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the West Indies, Sharjah and Morocco; all premier hockey tournaments of FIH (the International Hockey Federation); French, US and Indian Open tennis; league football from Italy, Germany and Portugal; the PGA Golf Championship, the Ryder Cup, the European and Indian PGA Tours; some of the richest horse races in the world, the MotoGP, as well as the popular WWE wrestling programmes.

Ten Sports' presenters and analysts are all well-known sports personalities who present insights into every aspect of the game. Some of our notable cricket experts include Sanjay Manjrekar, Rameez Raja, Ian Chappell, Imran Khan, Ian Healy and Tony Greig.

Ten Sports recently entered into a distribution agreement with The One Alliance in India and with Tower Sports in Pakistan. The multi-year deal with The One Alliance is a breakthrough in the history of Indian television, as it marks the first time that a sports channel has joined a major distribution bouquet.
